The month of September is declared as tourism month to create awareness on the role of tourism on the socio-economic development of a nation. The UNWTO sets for this year’s theme, “TOURISM AND GREEN INVESTMENTS”. This highlights the need for more and better-targeted investments for people, for planet and for prosperity. And what is coincidental and beautiful to this is that we have these Coffee Convergence, the Goat Academy and the “Gatasang Kalabaw” that are green investments by our local government unit; an investments for a more sustainable future for the people of Balungao, for the environment of Balungao and for the prosperity of Balungao. Achieving our vision as an “Agri-ecotourism destination of the North”.
In line to the tourism month celebration, we are inviting everyone to join us in a clean-up drive activity at the coffee convergence area at Mt. Balungao on Sept. 15, 2023, Friday, 7:00 o’clock in the morning.
