Career Development Support Program (CDSP) for the Grade 10 and Grade 12 students

The PESO Balungao Team and its manager, Bill Gancinia, successfully concluded the Career Development Support Program (CDSP) for the Grade 10 and Grade 12 students of four high schools in Balungao, Pangasinan. With a tight schedule set by both the PESO and the Department of Education (DepEd), the team was able to complete the series of sessions within a few days, ensuring that students from the region received valuable guidance in their career journeys.
The program, which ran from November 20 to November 26, 2024, aimed to provide students with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future careers. Through the lecture of Sir Bill, the LGU’s resident Psychometrician, students were given a chance to explore their strengths, interests, and aptitudes, helping them align their future goals with their personal skills and preferences.
The program kicked off on November 20, with Rajal-Angayan National High School hosting Grade 10 students for the session. On the same day, San Aurelio National High School held its session for both Grade 10 and Grade 12 students. Over the following days, the program moved to San Leon National High School on November 21, where both Grade 10 and Grade 12 students participated in a comprehensive career exploration session.
The next session took place on November 25 at Rajal-Angayan National High School for its Grade 12 students. This provided the senior students with an opportunity to gain insights into career options just before they graduate. The final leg of the program was conducted on November 26 at Balungao National High School, where both Grade 10 and Grade 12 students attended the last session, marking the culmination of this year’s series of CDSP sessions.
Despite the compressed schedule, the dedicated team from PESO, supported by its staff Jenny Dagdag Aquino and Vladimir Ancheta Vega, and the DepEd ensured that the students had ample time to engage in the activities, ask questions, and receive personalized career advice. The CDSP has proven to be a valuable initiative, helping students identify their passions and guiding them toward making the right educational and career choices.
