A Heartfelt Visit to Our Kababayans Abroad

On August 31, 2025, the Local Chief Executive of Balungao, Hon. Riza Rodriguez Peralta, visited the Balungao Overseas Workers Association – Hong Kong (BOWAHK). This annual engagement of our Municipal Mayor is more than just a gathering, it is a bridge that connects our kababayans abroad with their hometown. It serves as a moment for open dialogue, for listening to the hopes and concerns of our OFWs, and for reaffirming the unwavering support of the Local Government Unit.
Accompanying Mayor Peralta was the Migrant Desk Officer-Designate, Mr. Bill Gancinia, who presented the assistance and services that the LGU extends to Balungenian OFWs and their families.
Beyond the formal discussions, the event blossomed into a heartwarming celebration of fellowship, filled with touching stories, shared laughter, and the rekindling of the spirit of unity. It was not only about addressing concerns but also about strengthening the ties that bind every Balungenian – no matter how far from home.
